Introducció

The MSc in Management specialization in Business Analytics is organized over three terms.

During the first term of the master all students take a set of five core courses. In the second and third term of the master students make a personal selection of elective courses of the Business Analytics specialization, and can complement them with elective courses from the other specializations.

Students have the option to do curricular internships in companies (the internship will earn study credits equivalent to two elective courses). Career development sessions will be offered to aid students in finding the placement and prepare them for their professional future.

From October to June, students will work on their MSc Project supervised by a specialized faculty member.

Upon completing the Master, those who wish to pursue a PhD can apply and be evaluated to the program offered by the UPF's Department of Economics and Business.

Classes of the MSc in Management take place at UPF Ciutadella Campus.

Titulació que s'obté

Once students have completed the course they will obtain the Màster Universitari en Ciències Empresarials / Master of Science in Management - Máster Universitario en Ciencias Empresariales / Master of Science in Management official Master Degree, awarded by Pompeu Fabra University.

Students who choose any of the specializations availabe will also receive an additional completion certificate awarded by the UPF Barcelona School of Management.

Issuance of official Master's Degrees: The amount stipulated in the DOGC (Official Gazette of the Government of Catalonia) must be paid for the rights to issue the title. This rate varies annually and the rate in force at the time of application for the degree will be applied.

Brush-up Courses: these online preparatory courses cover business, analytic tools, economics, physical and chemical principles, and environmental subjects. They are designed for students needing a refresher before starting the program and must be completed and passed either before or during the first month of the master's program.
Spanish Course: 80% discount during the first trimester for basic Spanish level. Three hours per week at the Language Service of UPF.
Career Development Program: career sessions and workshops where participants obtain specific training on how to improve their professional profile, approach potential employers, and develop professional soft skills.
International mobility: The UPF Barcelona School of Management offers you the possibility of expanding your training and international vision through the International Mobility Programme. UPF-BSM Inside: is a group of interdisciplinary subjects (applied data, communication, creativity, innovation and project management, sustainability and leadership among others) that, if you take this program, you can access at no additional cost. They are 100% online and you can take them throughout the academic year at your own pace, as they have been designed as self-study subjects.

Bachelor degree

Applicants must have finished or be in the last year of a Bachelor Degree from an accredited university. Ideally, students should come from any of the following academic fields of study:

Business Administration
Economics
Engineering
Mathematics
Physics
Life and Health Sciences

Applicants with a different academic background may be asked to provide proof of sufficient quantitative and analytical training by presenting a 650 or higher GMAT score.

If you are currently studying the last year of your Bachelor Degree, you will need to finish your university studies and obtain your final certificate before the beginning of the program. If you finished your Bachelor Degree some time ago you should preferably not exceed 3 years of work experience in a position relevant to the program's field.

Proficiency in English

In order to be successfully enrolled, an official English certificate is required.

If you do not have your English results at the time of admission, you will be required to provide it two months before the course starts. Admission without an official English certificate will be considered conditional until the certificate is provided.

Applicants whose mother tongue is English do not need to submit the aforementioned certificate.

His research and teaching focuses on pricing, recommendation systems and marketing analytics. He has been published in top-tier academic journals including the Journal of Marketing Research, Marketing Science, Management Science.
Alberto Lempira Guevara
Marketing Consultant specialized in Business Development and Digital Marketing Strategies
PhD in Business (Candidate) from Barcelona University. He is also MSc in Marketing from Pompeu Fabra University. Has a Postgraduate in Social Media and Digital Marketing from Tecnocampus, a Posgraduate in Transmedia Storytelling & Branded Content and a Postgraduate in Inbound Marketing, both from INESDI and a BE in Production Engineering from Metropolitana University (Caracas). He has worked with different organizations from corporate to political marketing. He is the host of the NotYourMarketer podcast.
Pablo Martin
Data Engineer at Lola Market, and Adjunct Lecturer at UPF.
Develops his activity in Data Science and Data Engineering projects in industry. He has previous experience in consulting as well as in research. He holds a MSc in Data Science from the University of Amsterdam, as well as a Bachelor's degree in Business & Technology from the Autonomous University of Barcelona. Besides that, he enjoys contributing to open source software projects.
