Introducció

The program is organized into 5 modules and combines theoretical sessions with practical workshops and analysis of real cases, which will build learning directly linked to the professional transfer.

Together with the activities, discussion spaces, and documentation specific to each unit, available on the eCampus, a wide range of teaching materials will be made available to students to facilitate the general understanding, the execution of the tasks of the various units of the program and the acquisition of key competences.

The program also includes an Individual Action Plan (IAP), where each participant's area of interest will be addressed through individual mentoring sessions.

Objectives

The programme's content is designed to establish an ecosystem and a culture of responsible innovation, addressing crucial aspects such as European regulation of AI, fundamental rights, the challenge of design biases and a wide range of ethical issues involved in technological development.

The training includes case studies and tools for implementing the SDGs through AI, ensuring that technological solutions are not only effective and commercially viable, but also promote social and environmental well-being, creating added value for the customer, the company and generating a positive impact on society.

The course also aims to facilitate the operationalisation of decision-making processes, ensuring efficiency, practicality and smooth execution. It will enable the establishment of performance indicators and specific metrics to measure the effectiveness and ethics of AI-related decisions, based on sound data, ethical evaluations and multi-stakeholder feedback.

The TFM will put into practice the concepts learned in the sessions, developing an innovative business idea with a positive impact on society, or proposing a project to improve and make an existing company grow. You will work in groups of 2-3 people.

This is structured in two different parts: in the first part, the students will have to propose to the academic managers of the Master's degree a project that brings together the knowledge of all the subjects taught. Once the academic leaders validate these projects, the students will start the second part of the project: developing and realizing the proposals.

In this second phase of the Master's Final Project, students will have a mentor professionally linked to the specific area in which their project is framed.

The Master's Final Project will be presented before a panel made up of teachers and professionals who will assess its quality.

An official university degree is required (graduate, engineer, architect, diploma, technical engineer, technical architect) or equivalent diploma (graduates with studies from universities with a minimum of 180 credits), or other qualification issued by a higher education institution of the European Higher Education Area that is empowered in the country to issue degrees for applying to postgraduate education.

The academic management will assess the candidates and all the documentation provided, as well as any evidence deemed appropriate (personal interviews, tests, etc.) taking into account academic and professional merits.

Although the teaching language will be Spanish, a minimum level of reading comprehension (articles, videos) in English is recommended.

In the current economic and social context, executives capable of adequately managing the changes and challenges that this context offers are needed to provide innovative business and organizational solutions from a strategic point of view. As such, the program will teach you to relate the organization's management, processes, policies, and strategy to sustainable development, the SDGs and the 2030 Agenda.

The environmental scenario is already the engine of changes in the environment; furthermore, the next few years will push through a social transformation that will not only affect companies, but also the way we live, produce, trade, and interact. To this end, the program focuses on training the leaders of the green transition through the practical application of substantive and formal managerial functions, within the framework of sustainability.

The aim of the postgraduate course is for experts from the UPF Barcelona School of Management and Escuela del Agua from Agbar to train the leaders of the green transition. And do it through an executive development program that combines technical content with transversal skills for the running and management of companies or departments related to the environmental sector, and which is taught from a strategic, financial, and organizational perspective.

Due to the evident and accelerated change in environmental matters, it is essential that managers involved in decision processes, with an impact on sustainability, learn about tools and trends for the definition of new strategies and business lines (products and services) related to the green transition.

The postgraduate course will prepare you to adequately manage economic and social challenges in the environmental scenario, providing, from a strategic vision, innovative business and organizational solutions to promote sustainable development in your sector. You will learn about green entrepreneurship or intrapreneurship and the importance of developing innovative activities focused on mitigating, reducing, or eliminating environmental problems, as changes in production and consumption patterns advance.

To do this, you will be given the analysis tools to define the general strategic vision of the organization and guide it to the implementation of policies and processes aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) and the 2030 Agenda. At a technical level, the program will prepare you for identifying and relating relevant information from the environmental field with potential influence on the organization in the short, medium, or long term. In addition, you will learn about the European environmental regulatory framework and its deployment, as well as the challenges of climate change 2030, in order to include or promote green communication and sustainable development within the organization's strategy and align it with the external communication policy.

The program places special emphasis on strengthening managerial and executive skills, in substance and form, through mentoring sessions, solving environmental problems in new or little-known fields, making decisions on sustainable development from limited information, time management, leadership, and effective communication of findings.

With the postgraduate course you will reflect on the potential of digital transformation linked to sustainability and you will obtain the keys for integrating the green transition as a lever of innovation and stimulus for the transformation of your organization through creativity. During the program you will put into practice the detection of business opportunities through business cases.

Introducció

The postgraduate course is divided into 2 modules that all students must pass: one face-to-face and the other blended.

The first module "Innovation and strategic analysis" is made up of sequential classes with expert teachers in various areas of innovation and entrepreneurship. This part of the course is taught 100% in person.

Today, companies require more innovation and entrepreneurship, more flexibility, more speed, and more responsiveness for their customers/users. Adapting to new challenges passes through the application of new methodologies both in large, and small, and for-profit and non-profit organizations. This is why the postgraduate course covers not only Design Thinking, but various knowledge and innovation systems necessary for work experience.

As a student, with this qualification from our school you will acquire an in depth and current vision under the guidance of renowned experts in the field of innovation and entrepreneurship, and you will learn to apply business models and new technological and methodological tools that organizations use in their daily management. You will prepare yourself to create an innovative culture based on entrepreneurship, and to lead and implement change in all types of organizations. The main objective of the program is for you to become an agent of value creation for the entire organization and to know how to detect new business opportunities.

The postgraduate program is divided into three modules that all students must complete: first on-campus, the second blended (partially online), and the third on-site.

The first module, "Innovation and Strategic Analysis", consists of sequential classes taught by expert professors in various areas of innovation and entrepreneurship. This part of the course is delivered 100% on-campus.

The second module, "Innovation Tools", is highly practical and follows a blended format. In this module, students prepare theoretical concepts at home and then apply them in class. It includes a total of 40 hours of group-based practical workshops.

The third module, "The Impact of Innovation on Business Structure", takes place at UPF-BSM’s classrooms (on-campus).

Issuance of official Master's Degrees: The amount stipulated in the DOGC (Official Gazette of the Government of Catalonia) must be paid for the rights to issue the title. This rate varies annually and the rate in force at the time of application for the degree will be applied.

The Master's degree gives accelerated access to the CIMA (Chartered Institute of Management Accountants) and ACCA (Association of Chartered Certified Accountants) credentials, two of the most internationally recognized institutions for accrediting professionals in management & accounting, financial accounting and management accounting

Its contents mean that once you finish the master, you are prepared to take the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) exam. There will be 2 scholarships available to access the CFA exam.

The Master in Accounting and Financial Management also includes the possibility of participating in practical activities and activities for personal and professional growth such as:

Training Complement: Initial preparation course for participants who need it depending on their previous education: Introduction to Accounting.
International mobility programme: extend your studies extracurricularly, during the academic year following the completion of your Master's, at a top-level institution. Limited places.
UPF-BSM Inside: is a group of interdisciplinary subjects (applied data, communication, creativity, innovation and project management, sustainability and leadership among others) that, if you take this program, you can access at no additional cost. They are 100% online and you can take them throughout the academic year at your own pace, as they have been designed as self-study subjects.

University graduates or higher graduates in the field of Economics, Business Administration, Accounting and Finance, or Business Management/Management.

Graduates of other disciplines not related to Business Sciences and students with a Diploma in Business Administration, must have at least two years of professional experience in the field of finance.

Those participants who do not have Spanish as one of their mother tongues or who did not have it as a teaching language in their training studies, must prove that they have at least a B2 level of Spanish (Common European Framework of Reference), as well as fluently take part in a personal interview with the academic director, if necessary.

The evaluation of the candidates will be based on a presentation document in which the candidates will state their motivations for studying the master's degree and their professional goals.

You will delve into the design and implementation of capitalization, indebtedness and dividend policies and you will learn to choose those financing instruments that best suit the needs of the company. Introducció

The approach is very practical and professional. The blended learning methodology is highly participative, combining in-person sessions with independent student work. Two weekends per month are dedicated to in-person classes, while the other two weekends are free for autonomous work.

Before in-person sessions:

Course materials will be provided for preparation.
Students will need to study part of the assigned syllabus.
A preliminary activity or exercise will be required before the session.

In the face-to-face sessions:

There will be a theoretical-practical session of the subject.
There will be a test, generally multiple choice, in order to review the concepts worked at home.
Case studies that have been prepared in advance will be discussed.
Concepts will be clarified.

Between one face-to-face session and the next, the academic team will be available to help and facilitate the student's learning process.
